The Before5am Global Commissioner
The Before5am Global Commissioner provides leadership on matters affecting the everyday lives of people, families and communities around the world. Joe Duncan’s responsibility is to establish the direction, priorities and educational frameworks that help people respond to uncertainty, improve their quality of life and build stronger foundations for the future. Through the Global Life Curriculum, public addresses and practical life frameworks, he leads an ongoing body of work dedicated to strengthening human capability and supporting communities through the challenges of modern life. This work reflects a long-term commitment to public service, human development and the stewardship of all people and nations.
The Global Role and Responsibility
The Before5am Global Commissioner, Mr. Duncan has one of the most important and critical roles in our society today. The primary duty of the Global Commissioner is to provide care, guidance, reassurance, leadership and hope to people in their daily lives and to support people of all backgrounds, cultures and socio-economic circumstances. The daily work of the Global Commissioner is centred on providing leadership during uncertainty—responding to emerging challenges, setting a clear course of action and developing practical life frameworks that help people navigate the harsh realities of everyday life. Above all, the role is to create stability where there is uncertainty, restore confidence where there is fear and equip people with the guidance they need to move forward with purpose and a clear sense of direction.
